Captain (President, Treasurer) - Bill Barnes
Bill has been a member of the Passengers since 1987. He took over the Captaincy in 1996 when founding President Lionel Fredman was promoted to the Admiralty.
Officer Of the Watch (Vice President & Journal Layout Editor) - Rosane McNamara
Rosane came on board in 1988 and has been a mainstay of meetings ever since, contributing in particular to play readings and film festivals. Rosane is founder editor of the Passengers' Log, which began in 1997, and continues to act as co-editor, working mainly on the layout.
Navigator (Journal Editor) - Erin O'Neill
Erin has been a member of the Passengers since 1987, joining as a teenager. In 2012 she took over the main editorship of the Passengers' Log in collaboration with Rosane McNamara.
David joined the Passengers in 1993 and uses his extensive historical knowlege to contribute many interesting talks at meetings. David is a frequent and popular public lecturer on Holmes and related topics and has contributed to various publications on Holmes.
Anchor Watch - Robert Veld
Robert
has been a member of the Passengers since 1987. Joining as a twelve
year old, he attended his first meeting the following year. He has
contributed a number of articles to the Passengers' Log over the years and is a keen amateur researcher of The Strand Magazine.
Quartermaster - Matthew Hall
Matt
has been a member of the Passengers since 2022. A native of Sydney, he
now lives in the United States where he is a scientist. He enjoys
researching and publishing on Sherlock Holmes and his creator.
Expedition Artist - Philip Cornell
Phil joined the Passengers at their third meeting in January 1986, making him the Passengers longest serving member. His skills as a Commercial Artist were immediately comandeered to create, amongst other things, the Sydney Passengers logo. His artwork features regularly in the Passengers' Log.
